Dr. Enriqueta Felip has been the Head of the Lung Cancer Unit, Oncology Department at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital since 1995. Dr. Felip received her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where she also completed her studies for a PhD in Medical Oncology.
Dr. Felip is the Head of Thoracic Cancer Unit and responsible for all Lung Cancer trials at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital. Research lines of the Lung Cancer Unit include the optimisation of chemotherapy in early stage disease, evaluation of new drugs and the use of pharmacogenomic approaches.
The main objectives of Dr. Felip’s group for the following years are: Implement the determination ALK translocation, study the efficacy of PI3K/mTOR inhibitors in patients with lung cancer resistant to EGFR-TKI’s, study the efficacy of PARP inhibitors in lung cancer, analyse the epidemiologic/clinical characteristics of women diagnosed with lung cancer.
Dr. Felip is also Associate Professor of Medical Oncology (School of Medicine) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
Dr. Felip is member of the Steering Committee of the Spanish Lung Cancer Group and member of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology Executive Committee.
She is also currently member of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
During her career she has made almost 100 presentations in national and international congresses and has given more than 200 lectures in national and international congresses.
Dr. Felip has written more than 100 articles and she is scientific reviser of the following magazines: Cancer, European Journal of Cancer, Journal of Thoracic Oncology, Clinical and Translational Oncology, Lung Cancer, Annals of Oncology, Cancer & Chemotherapy reviews, Clinical Cancer Research, Journal of Clinical Oncology and also Editor-in-chief of Cancer & Chemotherapy Reviews and Associated Editor of the Spanish edition of Journal of Clinical Oncology and Associated Editor of Annals of Oncology.
